E-Bike route description
Discover Malaga by cycling: coastal rides, white villages, and flavors of tradition
Start your e-bike adventure along the N-340 heading east from Malaga. You have two cycling options: either follow the dedicated bike path, which extends along the beach promenade to Pedregalejo, or use the N-340's right lane (part of the RED BÁSICA), which gives priority to cyclists.
Once you exit Malaga, you can join the coastal hiking/cycling route, which begins just after El Candado Sports Harbour. This car-free path follows the coastline, offering beautiful tunnels and beaches, including Peñon de Cuervo and La Playa Araña — perfect places to stop and enjoy the sea views. Continue along this route until you reach La Cala del Moral.
As you approach the beachfront campground (Area de Autocaravanas), turn north to join the MA-3202, also known as the Carretera de Totalán. Follow this uphill route until you reach the peaceful village of Totalán, nestled in the hills — an isolated village with a single access road. Take a break here and enjoy the tranquility of this calm spot.
Afterward, continue your ride on the MA-3110, which offers a gentle climb to the village of Olías. Once there, take the A-7001 for a descent back towards Málaga, ending in the famous fishing village of El Palo. Here, you can enjoy local fish dishes at one of the beachside restaurants, called chiringuitos. Don’t miss the local specialty, Espeto de Sardinas — sardines skewered and grilled over an open fire on the beach.
This scenic and varied e-bike route offers the perfect blend of coastal beauty, peaceful villages, and Malaga's local culture, making it an unforgettable cycling experience.
