E-Bike route description

Scenic route to Casabermeja, the home of the famous Málaga goat cheese

Enjoy a peaceful ride with almost no traffic along this scenic route, which features a three-stage climb to an altitude of 724 meters. From the top, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the west, north, and east parts of the Malaga region, including the Sierra Nevada.

Start your ride by heading towards the Botanical Garden. You can follow the bike path that begins at El Corte Inglés and heads north. At the last roundabout, turn right towards the Jardín Botánico (Botanical Garden), and at the next roundabout, turn left. This is where the climb begins, just after passing through the tunnel below the A7 highway.

You can either cycle to the Botanical Garden to join the MA-3101, or continue north to the next roundabout and turn left to connect with the same MA-3101.

From this point, you'll experience minimal traffic and a scenic route dotted with old taverns, like Venta del Tunel – a great spot for a coffee break. Keep climbing for the next 25 kilometers until you reach the village of Casabermeja. Take a break here and try the Pitufo con Queso de Cabra – a sandwich with goat cheese – in one of the local taverns.
