Puerto del Aire

Puerto del Aire (937 m.a.s.l.) – the last pass to be climbed, a bit hidden but amazing, and my favourite one; a nice surface, no traffic, great views and a good percentage. Especially the first km is impressive where you will see some walls. Average grade is not high, so you will get several cooler parts to warm you up during all 8km.

Start from village Serrato, it is a bit windy almost all of the year, hence the name 'Aire' (air). The whole climb is in the form of stairs, so with every kilometer comes a short relaxing part. In the middle of ascent you will enter pinewoods, so wind and strong sun will be eliminated until reaching the highest point.

Descent to village El Burgo, again in form of stairs, is with beautiful views over Sierra Prieta and Sierra de las Nieves.

Good to know

All of our road bike routes and mountain bike trails are recorded with a Garmin, which you can rent along with your bike. All routes are also offered as a guided tour.

The decision of which route you want to travel and what attractions you wish to visit is solely yours.

To protect yourself against tire punctures, we offer for purchase emergency tools that will allow you to continue driving after getting a flat tire.
