Puerto de la Joya
Puerto de la Joya (900 m.a.s.l) – another jewel, lost between El Chorro and El Torcal, this is probably the reason why there are few cyclists to be seen. But the surface, length and gradient make this mountain pass one of the most appreciated by local riders.
Steep ramps between lost goat farms along with steady parts between fields will finally bring you to pass Puerto de la Joya, which naturally separates the coastal range of mountains Sierra Penibetica from Antequera, forming a depression created by the river Guadalhorce. Once you do it from the east you will never forget it!
