AL MEXIA: THE MOORISH LEGACY – E-Bike Tour
Al Mexia is the moorish name of a well hidden white village, Almogia, which means 'the pretty one'. No doubt, its geographic situation on the foothill of Sierra del Hacho puts a big smile on visitors faces when reaching this beautiful village. The surrounding area is irresistibly gorgeous; standing on a steep hill, the town still retains its original Moorish layout, with steep, narrow streets of whitewashed houses.
The route to Almogia leads us through the outpost of Malaga on the easy to manage ascent, Puerto de la Torre. After Puerto de la Torre, we cycle for about 15km up and down on serpentine mountain roads until reaching Almogia, where we stop for coffee and tapas. On the way back we will visit the Casasola lake with breathtaking views of the Sierra de Hacho and El Torcal Mountains.
Thanks to our modern E-Bikes with strong Bosch motors and powerful 500Wh batteries you will be able to cycle without much effort and enjoy this entertaining route.
