Road bike route description
It is a short ride up to the forestal rustic hotel Refugio Juanar. It is nicely located with the peaceful atmosphere and possibility of refreshment or just relax in the Natural Park.
From Marbella close to the supermarket El Corte Ingles, take the N-340 in the direction of east and after 1km turn left over the street Calle Serenta, later the road A-355 leading to Ojen and Monda.
Start climbing to the pass Puerto de Ojen. The surface is nice and the road is wide. To make it more interesting, cycle through the village Ojen. Later you enter the same road again. Shortly after the pass, you should turn for Refugio Juanar over the MA-5300. The last part in the Natural Park is quiet with a beautiful surrounding area. There is a restaurant and even the possibility of accommodation.
After some relaxing moments go back the same way. To enjoy descending, avoid entering Ojen and ride directly to Marbella. If you want to prolong your ride you can include even Monda or Coin which are next to the A-355.
