Road bike route description
It's a moderate road route. You will climb along the lake El Casasola to Almogia and then you will ride to Villanueva de la Concepcion facing the majestic hill El Torcal. There are several short and strong climbs between rocky hills between Villanueva de la Concepcion and Colmenar. You will enjoy the Natural Park Montes de Malaga with its pine-atmosphere from Colmenar towards Malaga. From Puerto del Leon you will go downhill towards Malaga.
You will get a steady climb to Almogia and then you should follow the road MA-3403 to Villanueva de la Concepcion. There turn right for Casabermeja taking the roads A-7075 and MA-3404. Before this village change for the A-356 to Colmenar. Before Colmenar turn right for the MA-435 and in Colmenar turn right to the Natural Park Montes de Malaga following the C-345/A-7000 to Malaga city.
