Basically Malaga is a safe city. But like in any big city, it is very important to follow some rules to avoid bicycle theft.  Based on our experiences, we have assembled some guidelines and tips on how to keep bicycles safe in Malaga. Please follow these guidelines to minimize the risk of bicycle theft.

This bike route is going to the East of Malaga, with it's old fisherman villages Pedregalejo and El Palo, passes by the beautiful beaches on the East Coast of Malaga and finally leads you to the Beach Promenade of Rincon de la Victoria.

The total distance for this bicycle route, which goes along flat terrain, is approximately 15km. There is no special physical constitution necessary for this. You can cycle with any kind of bike, but the best options are mountain bikes or trekking bikes.

Bike path to the West Coast of Malaga

This bike route goes to the West Coast of Malaga. Within the city, the route can be traveled mainly on bike paths. After leaving the city, there are sections without pavement. Between Benalmadena and Fuengirola there are sections where you have to go next to cars.

The total length of this route is about 30km, which is easy to realize in a single day. The route is lineal, so it's not necessary to cycle till the end point, you can stop any time and stay in the place you enjoyed most. This cycle route is almost totally flat, only the section between Benalmadena and Fuengirola includes some slight inclines.

For this cycle route we recommend primarily hybrid bikes or mountain bikes.

Al onze racefietsroutes en MTB-routes worden geregistreerd met een Garmin (GPS), die u samen met uw fiets kunt huren. Alle routes worden ook aangeboden als een rondleiding.

Deze fietsroutes zijn geen commerciële routes, maar aanbevelingen van ons voor uw volgende fietsreis in Andalusië. Gelieve te begrijpen dat wij niet verantwoordelijk kunnen worden gesteld voor eventuele onnauwkeurigheden in de kaarten, voor eventuele ongemakken tijdens de reis of voor de kwaliteit van de op de kaart aangegeven routes. Het is uw verantwoordelijkheid om de gehuurde fiets te onderhouden en goed te verzorgen, hem terug te brengen in dezelfde staat als ten tijde van de verhuur en om alle geldende regels en voorschriften voor de verkeers- en verkeersveiligheid na te leven. De beslissing welke route u wilt afleggen en welke attracties u wilt bezoeken is uitsluitend aan u.

Wij zijn u zeer dankbaar voor al uw suggesties om onze fietsroutes in de toekomst te verbeteren!

We vragen u ook om te onthouden dat we geen retourservice bieden in geval van lekke banden of andere schade aan de fiets, en dat u de beschadigde onderdelen of de fiets zelfstandig moet terugbrengen naar onze winkel. Om u te beschermen tegen lekke banden, bieden wij u bij aankoop noodgereedschap aan waarmee u na een lekke band verder kunt rijden.
