Road bike route description
It is a circular route through the Axarquia region. You will get some initial 35km of the flat coastal road to warm up, then some steady climbs and returning through the same coastal road.
Ride from the city center through the street Paseo Maritimo P. R. Picasso and keep on through the one-way road till you get to the MA-24. You have to share almost 2km of this busy road with the cars then turn right for the coastal one N-340. Continue to Torre del Mar where you have to turn left for Velez-Malaga. Through the A-356 keep direction Riogordo and turn for Benamocarra. You are on the MA-3116/3115/3118/3202 going through Benamocarra / Iznate / Cajiz back to the shoreline. There is a steady climb with 2 kicks starting before Benamocarra and finishing behind Iznate. Then you go downhill about 10km along Cajiz to the coast having amazing views.
To go back, turn right and keep on the N-340 again to Malaga.
